We are close to the end of 2023, and I have completed Unity’s Creative Core Pathway. One of my goals. The last weeks or months (time passes strangely lately) have been quite stressful, and I wanted to do too many things at once.
At least I was able to finish this pathway before the end of the year and put the green tick on my board, which feels so good.
About the pathway, I must say that it is one of the most enjoyable and educational ones I have experienced. And that’s even though it’s the one in which I’ve touched the least code, if any at all.
Learning a bit more in-depth about lighting, special effects (for example, shader graph, which I had not touched before), new camera options, revising sound options, animation, and post-processing has made me realize that I am on the right path to becoming a ‘generalist.’ I love everything that surrounds the creative and constructive process of video games.
The last pathway I have to complete is the virtual reality one, which I have actually finished but didn’t want to close until I had the final project done and published. So, it’s one of my first projects for 2024, and I’ll talk more about that a bit later.
In the next post, I will do a recap of 2023 and what my plans are for 2024.
